These Terms of Use (“terms”, “agreement”) govern your access to and use of the Timeboxd mobile application (“app”, “service”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using Timeboxd, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Use of the app
You may use Timeboxd only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws and these terms. You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your use of the app.
Timeboxd does not guarantee that the app will meet your expectations or that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security vulnerabilities.
User content
You retain ownership of all watch details, photos, and other information you add to the app (“user content”).
You grant Timeboxd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, process, and back up your user content as necessary to provide app functionality, including iCloud backup and aggregate analytics as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, and appropriateness of all user content you upload or input into the app.
You agree not to upload, publish, or otherwise transmit any user content that:
- Infringes the rights of any third party
- Is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, abusive, or harmful
In-app purchases
Timeboxd Pro is offered as a one-time, non-consumable purchase to unlock unlimited watches.
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store payment information. We may receive confirmation of purchase status or entitlement from Apple in order to enable app functionality.
Purchase restoration is available through your Apple ID and is governed by Apple’s policies.
License and intellectual property
Subject to your compliance with these terms, Timeboxd grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your compatible device.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on any part of the app without prior written consent.
The app, its design, branding, features, graphics, text, and software are owned by Timeboxd or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Analytics and aggregate data
As described in our Privacy Policy, Timeboxd uses analytics to understand usage trends in aggregate.
Analytics may include watch-related metadata such as brand and model, but this data is analyzed only in aggregated form to understand general patterns (for example, popularity of certain brands or features).
Analytics data is not used to identify, profile, or target individual users.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
- Interfere with or disrupt the app or related systems
- Use automated systems to extract data (“scraping”)
- Use the app in violation of any applicable laws or third-party rights
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Timeboxd and its affiliates, officers, employees, or partners will not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or revenue
- Any claim related to your use of or inability to use the app
Your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue use of the app.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Timeboxd and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the app or breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When changes are made, we will post the updated Terms of Use with a revised effective date.
Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the app will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
